A few of my favorite things: ADHD friendly apps to help manage your business

January 02, 20232 min read

Staying organized can be nearly impossible for people with ADHD who are prone to distraction, avoidance, hyperfixation, and lack of follow through. It's even more complicated for women with ADHD. However, what if you could use automated applications, scheduling software, and more to manage the parts of planning that are most difficult for you? How would you feel if your day was spent living to the full instead of putting out tiny fires? How would you feel if you could take back control of your life?

The good news is that with the right software, it’s possible to create systems that work for you and make your life easier. You could be much more efficient, productive, and successful if you could find a way to manage your time better. You can learn to use tools that help you:

You’ll spend less time on repetitive tasks like these and have more time for the things that matter most to you. You’ll get more done, faster.

Some of my favorite apps already come on most phones, most people just aren't maximizing them: maybe that's you?

Google Calendar -Google Calendar is a free app that you can download on your phone. It’s very easy to use and allows you to create events, tasks, and reminders in just seconds. One of my favorite features is the “Remind Me” button, which allows you to set up alerts for yourself in case you forget something important.

Sunsama -Sunsama is another great app that allows you to plan your day and keep track of how much time you spend on each task. It also includes a checklist feature so that you can easily make sure that everything has been completed.

Voice to Text -If you have an iPhone, then this is a free app that you should definitely download. It allows you to record your voice and turn it into text so that you can easily read back what you said. This is especially useful when writing emails or messages on your phone because it saves time by not having to type everything out manually.

Screentime Monitor is a great app that allows you to track your screen time and see how much time you spend on your phone each day. It also has a feature that allows you to set limits so that you can make sure not to go over them. I find this the most helpful with social media.

What about you, what are some of your most loved apps?
